About

Thank you for stopping by my website. I create acrylic paintings, handmade assemblages, and Solomon Boxes (unique, object-based works that combine wood, found materials, and symbolic elements in an esoteric, ritual-inspired form). After twenty years living and working in Asia, I returned to the U.S. to focus on art and to channel the perspective shaped by those years into my work. My work is process-driven: I start with an idea or material or repurposed object and the piece evolves as I paint, assemble, and rework it. My paintings are boldly colored and strongly composed; my assemblages experiment with found objects, letting the materials guide the work in unexpected ways; my Solomon Boxes are handcrafted, esoteric objects that encompassing ritual, symbolism, and the enigmatic properties of materials and objects.
