About

Thanks for stopping by my website. I create acrylic paintings, handmade assemblages, and Solomon Boxes (unique, limited-edition object-based works that combine wood, found materials, and symbolic elements in an esoteric, ritual-inspired form). After twenty years living and working in Asia, I recently returned to the U.S. to focus on my art, combining my interest in esoteric, abstract, and Eastern artistic traditions into my personal vision. My work is process-driven: the specific piece evolves and dictates as I paint, assemble, and rework it. My paintings are boldly colored and strongly composed (I think); my assemblages are hand-built and incorporate found objects to sometimes interesting effect; my Solomon Boxes are handcrafted, esoteric objects that encompass ritual, symbolism, and the enigmatic properties of materials and objects (they’re pretty cool but I’m still not entirely sure what their final use is. Opening it is up to the eventual owner…). Feel free to say hi!
